Taste the Terroir Tour 2017

Taste the Terroir Tour
Saturday, June 3, 2017
1721 SW Broadway

This year, the OAEP wine tour will return to the Newberg area to visit three excellent wineries : Arborbrook Winery, Brickhouse Winery, and Willakenzie Winery

Dr. Scott Burns, Emeritus Professor of Geology at Portland State University, a long-standing OAEP Board Member, and our resident Terroirist will host the annual tour.  Terroir is a French term used to describe the relationship between geology, soils, climate and the differences in wines.  It is a taste of the place.  Dr. Burns has been studying terroir since the 1970s.

• Time:  Leave 10:00 AM and return at 6:00 PM from 1721 SW Broadway.

• Cost per person: $60 (Price includes transportation and tasting fees).

• Bring your own picnic lunch and some water.

Space is limited!  You can buy your seat today by using the Buy Now button below.

Event Schedule –

10:00 a.m. - Leave Portland from Corner of Broadway and Mill (1721 SW Broadway)
11:00 a.m. - Arborbrook Winery – sample wines and have picnic lunch outside

4:30 p.m. – Leave Willakenzie Winery
5:45 p.m. – Arrive Back in Portland

You will have a chance to buy wines at all of the wineries.  We are able to keep the wine tour fee low because our guests consistently support the wineries and purchase wine.
